Who we are

Rebuggy, One St Peters Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 7QU, is the controller of your personal data. Email hello@rebuggy.co.uk.

What we collect

• Getting a price: your answers about the buggy and the email address you give us for your price.
• Sellers: name, email, mobile number, collection address, the bank account name, sort code and account number we pay into, your answers about the buggy, and the photos we take of it when it arrives.
• Buyers: name, email, phone number, delivery address and order details. Card payments go through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Everyone: visit statistics: cookie-free from Plausible and Ahrefs, and from Google Analytics and Google Ads. Google's tag loads for every visitor but sets no cookies and sends only cookie-free counts until you accept cookies. Meta's pixel (Facebook and Instagram ads) doesn't load at all until you accept. Once you do, Google and Meta use cookies to measure visits, to see which of our ads lead to a price or a booking (with the offer amount and your booking reference), and to show our ads to people who have visited Rebuggy (remarketing). If you get a price or book after accepting, we also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, and for a booking your mobile number and postcode, so it can match the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account. We never send Meta your name or bank details. You can change your mind with Cookie settings at the foot of any page. Fold guide videos play from YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• To buy or sell a buggy with you (contract). Booking couriers, paying you, delivering to you, handling returns and warranty claims.
• To meet legal duties (legal obligation). Keeping accounting and tax records.
• To prevent fraud and handle stolen goods (legitimate interests). Matching the payee name to the seller, recording serial numbers, checking product recalls.
• To follow up on a price you asked for (legitimate interests). We email you the price and up to three reminders about it, and stop as soon as you book. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To send marketing, only if you opt in (consent). You can withdraw at any time.
• To measure our ads and show them to past visitors, only if you accept cookies (consent). Google and Meta cookies, and the hashed contact details we send Meta. Withdraw any time with Cookie settings.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run Rebuggy: DigitalOcean (hosting, database and photo storage, in its London data centre), FedEx Express UK and DPD Local UK (couriers), Stripe (card payments), eBay (if you buy there), Brevo (email), Twilio (text messages), Plausible, Ahrefs, Google Analytics and Google Ads (statistics, ad measurement and remarketing), and Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram ad measurement and remarketing, only if you accept cookies). We share information with the police if we suspect goods are stolen.

Bank details

Your sort code and account number are encrypted in our database. We only decrypt them to pay you, and we never send them by email or text.

How long we keep it

• If we've bought from or sold to you: 6 years after your last transaction, because tax law requires it.
• If you got a quote or booked but never completed a sale: 12 months.

After that, we delete or anonymise your personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Email hello@rebuggy.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
