Rebuggy is the controller of your personal data. Company name, number and registered address: shown here once registered.

What we collect

• Sellers: name, email, mobile number, collection address, the bank account name, sort code and account number we pay into, your answers about the buggy, and photos of it.
• Buyers: name, email, phone number, delivery address and order details. Card payments go through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Everyone: privacy-friendly, cookie-free visit statistics (Plausible) and error reports (Sentry).

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• To buy or sell a buggy with you (contract). Booking couriers, paying you, delivering to you, handling returns and warranty claims.
• To meet legal duties (legal obligation). Keeping accounting and tax records.
• To prevent fraud and handle stolen goods (legitimate interests). Matching the payee name to the seller, recording serial numbers, checking product recalls.
• To send marketing, only if you opt in (consent). You can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run Rebuggy: DPD (couriers), Stripe (payments), eBay (if you buy there), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages), Cloudflare (photo storage), Supabase and Vercel (hosting and database), Sentry (error reports) and Plausible (statistics). We share information with the police if we suspect goods are stolen.

Bank details

Your sort code and account number are encrypted in our database. We only decrypt them to pay you, and we never send them by email or text.

How long we keep it

• If we've bought from or sold to you: 6 years after your last transaction, because tax law requires it.
• If you got a quote or booked but never completed a sale: 12 months.

After that, we delete or anonymise your personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
