How to fold your iCandy Orange 4 for collection
Seat or carrycot off, then release the two collars on the handlebar tubes and fold the frame flat, with the seat packed alongside.
Get it ready
Step 1: Empty the basket and any pockets.
Step 2: Take off the rain cover, footmuff, cup holder and anything else clipped on. They go in the box too if you told us about them.
Take it apart
Step 3: Close the canopy.
Step 4: Press the release buttons on both sides of the seat unit or carrycot and lift it straight up off the frame.
Step 5: Take off any carrycot or car seat adaptors.
Fold the frame
Step 6: Squeeze the trigger under the collar on one handlebar tube and slide the collar up towards the handlebar.
Step 7: Do the same on the other side.
Step 8: Push the handlebar forwards and down towards the frame.
Step 9: Press down on the frame until it clicks and locks folded.
Step 10: Stand the folded frame up on its end.
Good to know
- The frame can also fold with the seat on if it faces forwards, but the seat off gives the smallest package for the box.
- The rear wheels come off if the box is tight: press the button in the centre of each rear wheel and pull it off the axle.
Pack the box
Step 11: Put the folded frame in the box first, wheels down.
Step 12: Slide the seat unit or carrycot in beside it, then tuck the small bits into the gaps. A carrier bag keeps them together.
Step 13: Tape the box shut along every seam. There is no label to print: the DPD driver brings it.
Buttons and handles move about a little between production years. If yours looks different, the fold steps in your manual are the ones to follow.
