How to fold your Silver Cross Jet 5 for collection
Bumper bar off, then the Jet 5 folds into a small suitcase shape that locks itself.
Watch it first
Get it ready
Step 1: Empty the basket and any pockets. No need to clean it: we wash every buggy.
Step 2: Take off the rain cover, footmuff, cup holder and anything else clipped on. They go in the box too if you told us about them.
Take it apart
Step 3: Press the buttons at both ends of the bumper bar and pull it off.
Fold the frame
Step 4: Put the brake on.
Step 5: Press the fold buttons in the middle of the handlebar, either side of the Silver Cross badge.
Step 6: Push the handlebar down and forward.
Step 7: Push the frame together until the fold lock clicks shut.
Good to know
- If you still have the Jet 5 travel cover, the folded buggy fits inside it, which adds a layer of protection in the box.
Pack the box
Step 8: Put the folded frame in the box first, wheels down.
Step 9: Slide the seat unit or carrycot in beside it, then tuck the small bits into the gaps. A carrier bag keeps them together.
Step 10: Close the flaps and re-seal the box with the roll of tape we sent: along the middle seam, over the ends and down the sides.
Step 11: Peel the backing off the wallet, with the FedEx label still inside, and stick it on top beside the tape, over any old labels. There is nothing to print.
Buttons and handles move about a little between production years. If yours looks different, the fold steps in your manual are the ones to follow.
