How to fold your Silver Cross Jet 5 for collection
Bumper bar off, then the Jet 5 folds into a small suitcase shape that locks itself.
Get it ready
Step 1: Empty the basket and any pockets.
Step 2: Take off the rain cover, footmuff, cup holder and anything else clipped on. They go in the box too if you told us about them.
Take it apart
Step 3: Press the buttons at both ends of the bumper bar and pull it off.
Fold the frame
Step 4: Put the brake on.
Step 5: Press the fold buttons in the middle of the handlebar, either side of the Silver Cross badge.
Step 6: Push the handlebar down and forward.
Step 7: Push the frame together until the fold lock clicks shut.
Good to know
- If you still have the Jet 5 travel cover, the folded buggy fits inside it, which adds a layer of protection in the box.
Pack the box
Step 8: Put the folded frame in the box first, wheels down.
Step 9: Slide the seat unit or carrycot in beside it, then tuck the small bits into the gaps. A carrier bag keeps them together.
Step 10: Tape the box shut along every seam. There is no label to print: the DPD driver brings it.
Buttons and handles move about a little between production years. If yours looks different, the fold steps in your manual are the ones to follow.
